Living Water

A child dies every 15 seconds because of the lack of clean water. It costs an average $.98 to provide clean, safe water to one person for one year: every dollar makes a difference.

Water-related disease is the single largest killer of infants in developing countries, where nearly half of all people suffer from one or more water-related health problems. The World Health Organization estimates that African women and children spend 40 billion hours every year collecting water; water that, in most cases, is dirty, polluted and unsafe to drink.

Living Water International is one of the world’s largest private-sector implementers of participatory, community based water solutions. It has developed the most effective dollar-for-dollar model in operation.
